Wei and Jacob’s Elora Mill wedding was one of those weddings where I never actually got to meet them in person before the wedding day. But that totally didn’t matter with these two because the instant I met them it was like we were old friends! They were so easy going, down to earth and completely crazy in love. All things that make capturing a wedding that much easier.
The day started with Wei and her girls at her suite in the Elora Mill and it was one of the most chill bridal suites I have ever walked into. I should have known then that would set the tone for the rest of the day. After hair and makeup with Makeup Worx wrapped up, and Wei was dressed in her first dress, everyone headed to their Chinese tea ceremony where Wei and Jacob were showered with gifts from their loved ones. This was where I really fell in love with these two. What is usually a more reserved ceremony was full of laughter and excitement. Right after this Wei headed to change into her second dress and from there the rest of the day just flew by with ease!
A sweet first look, hiking down into the Elora Gorge, a sunny outdoor ceremony full of more giggles and happy tears, hilarious speeches and toasts at the reception, the most gorgeous sunset photos, and a lit dance floor. This Elora Mill wedding was one for the books!
The most important things about capturing photos who truly reflect you as a couple is trust. And what made it so easy to capture Wei and Jacob’s wedding story authentically is that from the get go I felt like they 100% trusted me. It allowed us both to let go, have fun, and let the day flow the way it was going to!
